Apollo Vredestein

Apollo Tyres was established in 1972 as a mono-brand enterprise. Over the years, as the organisation expanded its footprint across continents, more brands either joined or were born into its fold. At European level, the company focuses on its two key brands, Apollo and Vredestein.

Apollo Tyres are manufactured in both India and Europe and are available across all categories, including commercial, passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, farm and industrial.

Apollo Tyres’ brand philosophy is encapsulated in its tagline “go the distance”: new choices to put users in control of the road ahead.

European brand Vredestein, acquired by Apollo Tyres in 2009, is the latter’s premium marque in Europe. It boasts illustrious heritage, with several key milestones underpinned by cutting-edge design and high-technology for its tyres.

Vredestein’s premium product portfolio includes passenger car, bicycle and even agricultural application tyres, all developed through continual R&D and many in cooperation with design house Giugiaro, attracting design-conscious, forward-thinking vehicle manufacturers and end-users alike.

With a history spanning over 100 years, beginning in the very infancy of the tyre industry in Europe, Vredestein now boasts four R&D centres across the world and six factories globally, including its newest manufacturing plant in Hungary. Vredestein’s bold growth plans in Europe are further boosted by its recent appointment as OE supplier to major European vehicle marques and models.

Vredestein’s brand-new, ultra-high-performance Vredestein winter tyre, the Wintrac Pro, is the latest product to join a successful range of award-winning tyres from the European manufacturer.
